Flies!
What all the best dressed ponies are wearing this year to combat the flies!
A couple of hours after this picture, however, the fly fringe was trashed and in many pieces!!!

I had bug bonnets for Fahly and Maggie (Itsy said NO THANKS!) They did help. I've just loaned Maggie's to the donkey down the road who has a sore face and needs the flies kept off whilst it heals. If you go to the New Forest EVERY field pony wears a fly mask because of New Forest Eye and the fly problem. Have you tried Avon Skin-so-Soft bath oil spray for flies? It is BRILLIANT and British troops are issued with it for use in the jungle! It really DOES work.
